On June 16 we’re off to sunny Barcelona for the second year running, this time as part of A Week Called Techno’s Sonar Off program at Bloc.

Joining the chief in room one we’re pleased to welcome back Muscle And Mind man Oscar Mulero. With the brawn and the brains to match, prepare to hunker down for a sweaty, sinewy session from the Pole and Warm Up honcho. Then, from Electric Deluxe’s own extended roster, former Turbo power duo Clouds will bring the noise, with newest member Dax J primed to kick start the rave.

There wasn’t enough of ‘Timeslip Roadmender’ when it graced EDLX back in February, which is why there might just be more Clouds-styled rowdiness to watch out for from us… Meanwhile we’ve been following Dax J’s coarse and steely sound, and impressive Monnom Black imprint, with interest. He can work any room, anytime, anywhere, and you’ll be seeing a whole lot more of him with us this year.

As for room two, local hero Reeko is on the warm up with longtime label affiliate Gary Beck on middle duties, leaving the one and only AnD to do what they do best with the close. Lastly but crucially, our in-house visual artist Florence To will be manning the lights, mapping the evening’s first-rate soundtrack with another of her spectacular ocular shows. We know it’s a Thursday, but the weekend starts right here.
