EDP Chambre 69

It’s been two years since Speedy J last paid Glasgow a visit but on September 21st the EDLX head shall return to deliver a label showcase at Chambre 69, with the help of its youngest recruit Hans Bouffmyhre.

Paisley-based Stephen Gorrie has already built up a credible rep for himself both within Scotland and abroad. At just 24 years old he’s amassed an enviable number of records for labels including Perc Trax, Synewave and 8 Sided Dice, whilst his own Sleaze empire has grown exponentially since its humble beginnings four years ago. In April ‘Hypnosis’ marked Gorrie’s entry into the EDLX stable, followed up by an impressive outing at EDP’s anniversary weekender at the closing Melweg party in Amsterdam. Expect big beats and plenty of floor action from this budding youngster who’ll undoubtedly bring his A-game to a cheering home crowd.

Speedy J need little introduction as one of the most influential and widely revered names in electronic music. He’s proven to be a particularly savvy A&R man with Electric Deluxe squarely positioned as more of the more forward-thinking and innovative labels of today, one with a distinct manifesto working with – as opposed to falling victim of – the changing craft of dance music. Fully utilising digital technologies in both his productions and live shows, Speedy J is ever refining his practice – with consistently killer results. Techno fans of Glasgow best pen this to the diary, with such a busy tour schedule, who knows when Speedy’s next in town.

Limited early bird tickets are on sale this weekend on RA Resident Advisor.
