Electric Deluxe Presents… Adam Beyer, Speedy J, Function
Adam Beyer will be headlining the Queensnight edition of Electric Deluxe on Thursday the 29th of April in Amsterdam. Apart from the Swedish techno hotshot, artists from France, Scotland and Germany will also find their way to the Melkweg, with Function, Paul Ritch and Edit Select signing in.

Queensday is a special day in The Netherlands, when public life comes to a grinding halt and everyone suddenly wears orange clothes while neglecting most rules and regulations that make life so boring. It’s also the period with the most parties per square meter, certainly in Amsterdam.

The solid reputation of Electric Deluxe Presents will guarantee a sweaty and beaty night, with a line up that’s as solid as it is international. From Paris comes Paul Ritch. He may be a relative newcomer but has stirred up quite a storm with his energetic and percussive techno tracks. Glasgow brings us Edit Select. This Scottish underground producer delivered a string of strong releases last year and appeared on the world wide techno radar thanks to a strong single on Berghains label Ostgut Ton.

Both artists will play live in the old room of the Melkweg, as will Function from Berlin. This American producer from Prenzlauer Berg is the engine behind Sandwell District, one of the keyholders of the best four/four underground Techno on this planet, responsible for a range of bottom heavy techno singles.

Together with host Speedy J Swedish techno producer and dj Adam Beyer will rule the bass bins in the Max-room. Mister Awakenings (Beyers nickname in the Lowlands) gave his record label Drumcode a kickstart last year, with strong releases like Remainings III Something Good to Die For and London. That particular track dominated the summer festivals for weeks during 2009. Above all you want to see Beyer at work on a smokey stage, while the masses below him sweat it all out on relentless beats.

It would be wise not to wait too long with tickets. This orange Queensday party will turn red hot, we tell you.
