We’ve kept quiet for too long, now it’s time to start yelling from the rooftops! On Friday Feb 5 we’re facing off to the mighty Dystopian at Factory 010 in Rotterdam. That’s two labels, three rooms and a whole lotta techno…
In the main hall prepare for special extended sets from Speedy J and Rødhåd. Claiming a spot on RA’s top 10 DJs of 2015, Dystopian’s red-headed chief has formented his position as one of the world’s best loved and admired DJs. Winning as much respect from within the scene’s gated community as without, Rødhåd is always a delight on the decks—no matter where, when or for how long. Meanwhile, our own master of ceremonies only gets better the longer and later it gets. And when Speedy J hits his stride, just about anything can happen.
Support from the Dystopian camp comes via Milanese upstart Distant Echoes. He’s already got two EPs in the bag and a series of first-rate outings at venues across Europe; the warm up is in safe hands. Then our newest signees, Clouds, complete the bill. Feb 5 is double cause for celebration: it’s the release of their debut EDLX record, Timeslip Roadmender, which is about as irreverent and devious as it sounds. AnD fans stir yourself for more rowdy techno fist-pumping.
Then in the backrooms, come and experience a creme of local talents. DJ T!M AKA Frame Six and Daniel Kane will host Factory 010’s intimate room two under the legendary Detroit-founded For Those Who Know banner, complete with 3D mapping and the very best underground selections. And in room three Rotterdam’s Noodlebar Soundsystem will be settling in for a night of wire juggling and all things noodly via live shows from residents Das Ding, OSC1899, Falafelbiels, Boris Scorpio and Mono-Poly.
Electric Deluxe resident artist Florence To will be helming another dazzling and uniquely tailored visual show. And we’re wheeling in the hefty stacks of the Kierewiet Soundystem to power it all. And as if you need extra incentive to get down early, the first 100 visitors of the night will receive a free vinyl copy of Timeslip Roadmender. So don’t be late!
